The American Women’s Club of
Barbados, Registered Charity #93, has been an active service organization since
1953. The membership is made up of
American Citizens, natural and naturalized and wives of American Citizens. Women of other nationalities are also welcome
to join as associate members.
Fundraisers through the years have included a
Black and White Debutant Ball, Afternoon Teas, Bake Sales, Musical Evenings, US
Thanksgiving Dinners and our first ever Charity Golf Tournament held in
February 2018.
Proceeds from these
events have gone to assist many charitable requests on the island including Food
banks and School Breakfast Programs, The Prison Fellowship, the Salvation Army
and specific individual requests. Each
request is reviewed by our Community Services Committee. Our membership also assists with the Pink
Ribbon Drive of the Barbados Breast Screening Program.
The AWC of Barbados
meets on the 2nd Tuesday
of each month (except July & August) at The Main Guard (Clock Tower) at the
Garrison Savannah.
We can be reached via regular mail at The American Women’s Club of Barbados, P.O.
